The Wocu has been developed to assist Corporates to alleviate problems inherent in floating currencies. Many organisations have to “hedge” their own currencies when buying and selling products in the global markets This can in turn can lead to losses and increased risk factors associated with profitability.

The introduction of the Wocu is to provide Corporates (buyers and sellers) a safer haven than currencies that are currently used.

Financial organisations can also use the Wocu and can make up to 10bp on trading in the Wocu.
